Although we have heard a lot of news about the launch of Huawei Mate X, new information claims that it might be delayed once again. According to a recent report, Huawei Mate X seems to have been postponed again, although the road map strongly recommends September, and posters are already in place promoting the device.
Meanwhile, at first it was delayed because Huawei did not want to attract Samsung (with its Galaxy Fold delay), but later blamed it for the slow launch of 5G (because Mate X, unlike Galaxy Fold, is a 5G smartphone), September seems to be near death, when some executives justify it.
However, the company has changed it earlier statement, saying that the launch of Mate X will definitely be "before the end of 2019". There are no official words about the reasons behind the delay, but it seems, with its own delay, the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be the first commercially available folding smartphone.
The same report talks about the successor to Mate X, which can come as early as next year, and potentially display more screens. For now, we are happy to see the original Mate X, announced in February, finally reaching the shelves.
