Latest Rumor Claims That Samsung Galaxy S Series And Galaxy Note Series Will Merge As One Next Year

Galaxy S and Note

According to press conference held earlier this year for the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung openly acknowledged its doubts about the 'Galaxy S11' branding for being too long and revealed that it is unlikely that next year's model will carry that name.

The company also stated that this could be a good time to "unite the brand," a comment that came only seven months after Samsung reportedly conducted an internal discussion about the possibility of merging the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lines at some point in the future.

The S pen can turn into S series and both can join as one coming next year according to report from Evan Blass a strong source from Twitter.

During the early years of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note there were clear differences between the two. However, since the arrival of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 line in 2016, differences have diminished and overlap has significantly increased. Many even argue that the recent Galaxy Note device is just a Galaxy S model with an S Pen and it seems that Samsung now recognizes this.

When two become (Galaxy) one - Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note can join next year.

If given the green light, Samsung's new lineup will basically represent "S-series with S Pen." It is unclear at this stage whether the stylus will be present on all models or provided for devices that are slightly larger, more expensive under plan but, regardless of that, this strategy will leave a large gap in Samsung's annual launch timeline.

As of the latest information, the second generation Galaxy Fold will feature a flexible 6.7 inch OLED screen that offers a small punch hole for a selfie camera and folds vertically like the upcoming Motorola Razr rather than horizontally like the original. This particular model is expected to be thinner, more compact, and feels cheaper than the current Galaxy Fold gen. However, it should target buyers who are more interested in fashion and luxury than technology.
