Huawei To Launch Its Own-Developed Map Kit Service, Expected Online in October

Although it seems like Chinese tech giant isn't returning to Google's Android, Huawei is making every effort to ensure that its users don't lack anything.

Not long ago, Huawe announced the self-developed OS Hongmeng which eventually became a Harmony OS trademark late last month. In addition, Huawei also plans to launch the Huawei Map Kit, which of course will be a replacement for Google Map.

According to the official introduction, the Huawei Map Kit can support 150 different countries for this region and 40 different languages.

However, the Huawei Map Kit has a very accurate navigation system that provides accurate positioning in time even when users change lanes. And thus, according to Huawei's deployment, the Huawei Map Kit is expected to be aired in October.

Meanwhile, president of Huawei's limited business, Zhang Pingan said that the Huawei Map Kit is a background map service capability. The main purpose is not to provide consumers, but for other application developers. When other map services are not available, they can also choose to use the Huawei Map Kit.

Furthermore, Report claims that the Huawei Map Kit will be available to all Huawei users in the future and will be available for more third-party applications as well.
