New photos taken from the series of Game of Thrones prequel series when the work title known as Bloodmoon even though the official title has not been established, shows that fans will be able to see the new house on the show. At first, HBO ordered the prequel series in 2018, almost a year before the final aired for the original series. No one knows much about the show, except that it happened around 5,000 years before the Game of Thrones event during the time when Westeros consisted of 100 small kingdoms.
Because of the timeline, Game of Thrones fans who hope to see familiar faces, or at least hear familiar names, are mostly out of luck. Even though the Starks and their direwolves will appear, House Lannister, among other things, will be abandoned - at least, initially - due to the fact that the house did not exist during this historical period. However, Lannisters' home, Casterly Rock, will appear on the show, suggesting that House Casterly, who owns the first property, will appear in a certain way.
Now after the pre-game series Game of Thrones filming, new photos have begun to appear, revealing more information about the show. The latest photos posted from the location of the GoTlike Locations show a series of shootings at Grotta del Turco in Italy, which could be the location of Casterly Rock. The same photos also reveal a new house sigil that resembles a cat, or rather, a lioness. In Game of Thrones mythology, Lord Casterly first killed the lioness who attacked his village, but he let his children. This single act pleased the gods, who bestowed great wealth upon the family. It would make sense that the House sigil then would be feline.
Other photos from the set posted by Naomi Watts Source reveal actress Naomi Watts walking down the Grotta del Turco in a dress that is certainly worthy of House Casterly. Her character description of "a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret" also lends itself to her potential as a member of the noble house.
Only shortly before sunset the prop boat came out of the grotto again to go back to the production's second base in the port of Gaeta. This time the boat's crew was in costume and the banner (which might be an early Stark one?) revealed. #Bloodmoon #Gaeta
Other actors tied to the Game of Thrones prequel series include Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter, Good Omens), Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), Denise Gough (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), Jamie Campbell Bower ( Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Evil), Sheila Atim (Harlots), Ivanno Jeremiah (Black Mirror), Georgie Henley (Narnia Chronicle), Alex Sharp (To Bone) and Toby Regbo (Government, Last Kingdom). This is a star-studded affair and one that Game of Thrones fans want to leave behind.
Although fans are generally disappointed with the final Game of Thrones series, they still have a lot of interest in the types of stories that exist in the universe. The prequel series will likely reach the same level of wild popularity when it finally airs. With writer George R.R. Martin struggled to release other novels in the related book series, the prequel to Game of Thrones could be the only way for fans to improve their Westeros.
